Transportation Notes

Transwestern declared force majeure at the Bloomfield (NM) Compressor Station after the #4 unit went down over the weekend. Repair downtime is uncertain pending the availability of parts, the pipeline said, but it hoped to have the unit back in service Friday. The outage reduces normal San Juan Lateral capacity of 850,000 MMBtu/d to about 580,000 MMBtu/d today and about 800,000 MMBtu/d Thursday.

Sonat canceled Tuesday an OFO Type 22 it had implemented Monday for nine groups on its South Georgia system (see Daily GPI, Oct. 10).

Partial completion of work on the Grand Chenier (LA) Station's dehydration unit allowed an increase in station capacity from 500,000 Dth/d to 625,000 Dth/d Tuesday, ANR said. Return to full capacity of 725,000 Dth/d is expected to be around Oct. 20.

CIG is considering a possible extension of its Cucharas Lateral in Huerfano County, CO. The project would involve building about 12 miles of 8-inch pipe running west from Little Bear Meter Station (the lateral's current western terminus) to a new terminus located approximately in Section 10, Township 28 South, Range 69 West, in Huerfano County. Parties interested in getting service on the proposed extension should call Roland Harris at (719) 520-4380.
