NOVA said a leak discovered in a flange assembly early Thursdayon its North Lateral in eastern Alberta is curtailing up to 500MMcf/d of upstream production. The line usually flows 1.6-1.7Bcf/d, a spokesman said. He estimated the leak will require 24-48hours of repair time, but no schedule has been set.

As previously posted, the Amoco processing plant for gas movingthrough Destin Pipeline has had its liquid handling capacityreduced to 50% (see Daily GPI, May 5). Thursday Amoco notifiedDestin that additional problems with the plant’s liquid handlingfacilities had further cut capacity to nearly zero. Although thecapacity was a bit higher Friday, Destin informed all productionpoints that free liquid injection into the pipeline must beminimized to maintain current flows. At present there is no need toreduce scheduled volumes, Destin said.

El Paso revised a notice about its Blanco Plant maintenancestarting today (see Daily GPI, May 14) to say the outage of the Cand D compressor units was extended by one day through the May 20gas day.

Florida Gas Transmission has extended maintenance at Sabine PassPlant/Johnson’s Bayou, which was scheduled to end today, untilfurther notice.

When it took the Donna Line in South Texas out of service May 1to make the line “piggable,” Tennessee expected the line to resumeoperations June 9 (see Daily GPI, May 3). But due to Texas Dept. ofTransportation work on two roads across Donna during June,Tennessee will be required to modify the existing road crossings,the pipeline said Friday. That work will extend the Donna Lineoutage, affecting 20 meters, to June 15.

A combination of its Unit 5-C failure and maintenance on theA-Line has rendered PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest unable tomaintain contract pressure to Northwest Pipeline at Spokane, WA. Inorder to meet confirmed nominations, PG&E GT-NW curtailed theSpokane delivery point effective Friday to 45 MMcf/d until theA-Line has returned to service.
