Walt Rosenbusch, a native of Austin, TX, has been appointeddirector of the Minerals Management Service, succeeding CynthiaQuarterman who resigned in February. Rosenbusch takes office May17. Since July, 1996 he has worked as a senior tax manager forErnst & Young’s Houston Energy Service Team. Prior to thatRosenbusch was with the U.S. Dept. of Interior in the land andminerals management area, working to resolve royalty issuesinvolving on- and offshore leasing. He had worked in the TexasGeneral Land Office where he was responsible for the management andadministration of 13.5 million mineral acres.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. recently elected John Seitz as COO andpresident of the company. He had been working as Anadarko’sexecutive vice president-exploration and production. Seitz has heldexecutive positions in Anadarko’s E&P division since 1989. Hewill continue to oversee U.S. and international E&P operationsas well as report to Robert Allison, the company’s CEO.

Duke Energy named James Donnell president and CEO of Duke EnergyPower Services, then changed the subsidiary’s name to Duke EnergyNorth America. The name change signified the consolidation of allof Duke’s non-regulated energy businesses under one company, Dukesaid. Donnell had been vice president of Duke Energy PowerServices. He joined Duke in 1997 when PanEnergy and Duke merged.Prior to that, he was senior vice president of PanEnergy. A Dukespokesperson said because of the new company’s focus on the entireNorth American continent instead of just on U.S. operations, theposition Donnell is accepting is a newly created one.

Cynthia (CJ) Cordova has been elected vice president, marketdevelopment of the American Gas Association. The AGA MarketDevelopment Division coordinates national accounts and marketsupport programs, promotes the adoption of codes and standards topromote increased use of natural gas and conducts market planning,analysis and research. Cordova had been AGA director of corporateaffairs.
