Northwest Pipeline experienced a leak Tuesday afternoon on its
Vancouver (WA) Lateral. There were no injuries. Preliminary
investigation indicates third-party damage, the pipeline said.
Service was disrupted to direct industrial customer Vanalco and to
industrial customers of LDC Northwest Natural Gas in the area until
being restored at 11:24 p.m. PST Tuesday.
Algonquin will begin maintenance Friday at the Burrillville (RI)
Compressor Station that will limit station capacity to 700,000
dth/d. Additional limitations down to 400,000 dth/d may occur for
four to eight days around the middle of April. Algonquin will post
updates as those dates approach.
Questar will perform line work April 12-16 on Storage Main Line
70, which extends from Northwest Pipeline to Questar's Clay Basin
storage facility. No gas will flow physically in SML 70, but
injection and withdrawal nominations will be accepted on the
Northwest side as long as they net to zero flow. Clay Basin
services on the Questar side will not be impacted.
Williams Field Services has scheduled maintenance at the Opal
(WY) Plant during April. A tie-in and six-month maintenance at the
Ham's Fork Compressor Station (Shute Creek) will take about eight
hours April 14 and cause a volume loss of about 15% for the day.
During the April 18-23 period WFS will be performing ESD (emergency
shutdown) tests and semi-annual inspections on the Moxa North and
South Units. It will also restage both units to handle higher
discharge pressures. Volume losses will vary daily between 6% and
37%; see the bulletin board for details. Shipper nominations will
be cut on a pro rata basis.
Kern River is taking bids through noon MST Friday for mainline

succeeding years. Call Jeff Leishman at (801) 584-6682 for
