Texas Gas Open Season Offers Capacity from East TX to Lebanon, OH

Texas Gas Transmission LLC is holding a binding open season through Wednesday (Aug. 24) for new natural gas transportation capacity from East Texas to Lebanon, OH, where its mainline system connects with Columbia, Gas, Texas Eastern and Dominion.

Through a proposed lease agreement with Texas Eastern Transmission LP, Texas Gas is offering shippers firm transportation rights from supply-rich areas in East Texas via Texas Eastern pipelines to the Texas Gas interconnect at Sharon, LA, and then continuing on the Texas Gas mainline system as far as its terminus in Lebanon.

The project is proposed to be in service by Nov. 1, pending approval by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The Boardwalk Pipelines LLC subsidiary, which owns and operates a 5,900 gas pipe system in nine states, said the open season is in response to the interest expressed during a nonbinding open season earlier this year.

Interested shippers can view the open season information at or contact Jim Martin, manager of business development, at (270) 688-6927 or
