A Denver, CO-based gathering company has asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a limited-jurisdiction certificate to build a 21-mile natural gas pipeline in Wyoming.

Rendezvous Gas Services LLC, a joint venture of subsidiaries of Questar Market Resources and Western Gas Resources Inc., is seeking the go-ahead to build a 20.8-inch diameter pipeline that would provide a direct connection between a gas processing plant in Uinta County, WY, and Kern River Gas Transmission in Lincoln County, WY, and to transport gas gathered by Rendezvous Gas and its subsidiary owners, Questar Gas Management Co. and Mountain Gas Resources Inc., also gathering companies.

Rendezvous Gas also requested a Part 157 blanket certificate to undertake a “variety of routine jurisdictional activities,” and waivers of the Commission’s reporting requirements.

The joint venture, which was formed in 2001, builds and operates gas pipeline and compression facilities to transport gas production from the Hoback Basin, which includes the Pinedale Anticline and Jonah Field areas in southwestern Wyoming.

In addition, Rendezvous Gas delivers natural gas for blending and processing services to the Granger and Blacks Fork processing plants. Mountain Gas Resources is the 100% owner and operator of the Granger facility and Questar Gas Management is a 50% owner and the operator of the Blacks Fork plant.
