Abraxas Petroleum Corp. Vice President and CFO Geoffrey R. King has resigned to pursue another opportunity in the financial sector. King’s resignation from the San Antonio, TX-based onshore producer “is not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the company, or any matter relating to the company’s accounting practices or financial statements,” management said. King plans to continue as CFO until June 26. Chief Accounting Officer Bill Krog is to serve as financial chief until a new CFO is named. Abraxas has operations across the Rocky Mountain, Permian Basin and in South Texas.
