Jack Gerard, current CEO of the American Petroleum Institute (API), is one of eight general authority members of the Seventy announced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gerard, who has served as API CEO since 2008, is scheduled to step down when his contract ends in August.
