Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) Commissioner Stan Wise has been appointed to the National Petroleum Council (NPC) for 2016-2017 by U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz. Wise will represent the views of the states in public policy decisions. The NPC provides information and recommendations on matters related to oil and natural gas and the oil and natural gas industries. It is a self-funded advisory body to the Secretary of Energy, whose members represent all sectors of the oil and gas industries and related interests. Wise is serving his fourth six-year term on the PSC. He also chairs the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Natural Gas Committee.
