A former member of the Clinton administration, Obama-Biden transition team and policy director at Google, Elizabeth Echols, 55, was appointed by California Gov. Jerry Brown as the new director of the California Public Utilities Commission‘s (CPUC)independent consumer branch, the Division of Ratepayer Advocates. Most recently, Echols, a Stanford University law school graduate, was the administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration‘s Pacific Region (2010-2013) and director of the Northern California chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (2009-2010).

Freeport LNG Development LP has selected Bryan Frey to serve as vice president and global head of LNG marketing. He will be responsible for leading the ongoing commercialization and deal development of Freeport LNG’s natural gas liquefaction and liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project. He brings more than 25 years of energy experience and industry knowledge in both domestic and international supply and trading, operations, commercial negotiations and business development. Frey most recently held the commercial managing director role with Macquarie Energy where he led its global LNG initiative. Prior to Macquarie, he held various commercial energy management roles with Constellation Energy, Marathon Oil, El Paso Global LNG, Pacific Gas & Electric and Koch Industries.
