San Francisco-based Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) has promoted its two utility executive vice presidents to president. Nick Stavropoulos was promoted on the natural gas side, while Geisha Williams takes responsibility for the power unit. Stavropoulos, who came to PG&E in 2011 from National Grid, also is to assume responsibility for the information technology functions, while Williams, who joined in 2007 from Florida Power and Light Co., is taking on responsibility for the customer care programs. The changes were made in anticipation of the planned retirement in August of PG&E President Chris Johns.

NW Natural‘s board of directors on Monday named COO David Anderson president of the Portland, OR-based natural gas-only distribution utility, effective Aug. 1. Anderson will continue to serve in his COO role.
