Jack Lafield has stepped down as CEO of Caiman Energy II LLC and Blue Racer Midstream LLC, a joint venture formed by Caiman and Dominion Resources Inc. Lafield would continue to serve as chairman of Caiman Energy and as a member of Blue Racer’s board. CFO Stephen Arata has been promoted as CEO at both companies. Vice President of Finance Kyle Irons has also been named CFO.

MarkWest Energy Partners LP has appointed J. Mike Stice to serve as a member of its general partner’s board of directors. Stice must now be elected at MarkWest’s 2016 annual meeting of common unitholders. Stice most recently served as the CEO of Access Midstream Partners LP as well as the director of its general partner from July 2012 to February 2015, when the company was acquired by Williams.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has nominated Andrew Place, corporate director of energy and environmental policy at EQT Corp., to serve as a commissioner on the state’s Public Utility Commission. He would replace outgoing commissioner James Cawley. Place formerly served as interim executive director of the Pittsburgh-based Center for Sustainable Shale Development and also held positions with the state Department of Environmental Protection. The state Senate must now confirm Place’s nomination.
