The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) unanimously approved a proposal that would provide consumers with more information about their natural gas supplier on their bills. Following regulations implemented last year, the tentative order would provide the supplier’s logo on the bill, include bill messaging for the supplier and a shopping information box so customers have more information about suppliers in the state. The PUC said the goal of the order is to “increase customer awareness when participating in the competitive retail natural gas market.” The commission must now finalize the rule. No timeline has been set.
