Coastal’s ANR Pipeline is seeking FERC approval to implement twonew interruptible services and expand service options availableunder its firm storage service tariff. The proposed new servicesare called interruptible parking and lending service, andinterruptible wheeling service. “We are offering these new servicesin response to requests by our customers, who have indicated a needfor more product choices and flexibility due to the dynamic natureof today’s natural gas marketplace,” said Jeffrey A. Connelly, ANRCEO. “The revisions we are proposing to our firm storage servicewill provide ANR’s shippers with an array of additional serviceflexibility in managing their supply portfolios.”

Changes to the firm storage service will allow withdrawaldeliverability from 10 to 213 days, whereas the current serviceoffers 50- to 150-day service. The expanded option will offer achoice of 10-day “needle peak” service to 213-day service,encompassing the winter season and the April and October shouldermonths.

The interruptible wheeling service will facilitatetransportation between receipt and delivery points within ANR’sJoliet, IL, market hub. The hub encompasses all current and futureinterconnections between ANR, other transporters and localdistribution companies between ANR’s Sandwich, IL, and St. John,IN, compressor stations.

The interruptible parking and lending service will allowshippers to temporarily store or borrow gas at specific points onANR’s system. ANR will provide the service initially at its Eunice,LA, and Greensburg, KS, head stations and at its Joliet market hub.Demand at other points will be evaluated. The pipeline said all thenew services could be implemented by May 1.
