With certain mitigation measures, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line’s Rockaway Delivery Lateral and Northeast Connector Projects can deliver gas to Brooklyn and Queens, NY, without harming the environment, according to a final environmental impact statement (FEIS) prepared by Commission staff [CP13-36-000 & CP13-132-000].

The projects would provide firm delivery lateral service of 647,000 Dth/d of natural gas to National Grid’s local distribution system in the two New York City boroughs. The proposed facilities would be located in Brooklyn and Queens counties, NY; York County, PA; and Mercer and Middlesex counties, NJ.
