National Fuel Gas’ storage subsidiary, National Fuel Gas Supply,announced three open seasons last week; a 9,750,000 Dth offering offirm storage service and associated firm storage transportation, a19,100 Dth/d offer for new firm transportation capacity and a150,000 Dth/d offer of firm transportation service from a proposednew interconnect with Empire State pipeline at Pendleton, NY. Allof the open seasons began on Nov. 29 and will end on Dec. 16. Ineach case, gas flow is expected to occur no later than April 1.

For the firm storage service open season, an 80-day or 110-dayservice option is available for 6,330,000 Dth. An additional3,420,000 Dth is available as 150-day service, the company said. Avariety of acceptable receipt points and delivery points are beingmade available for injection and withdrawal.

The new firm transport offer is for gas flowing from TransCanadaat Niagra to a variety of receipt points on the National Fuelsystem including Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line at Wharton, PA andLeidy, PA as well as Texas Eastern Pipeline at Leidy, PA, thecompany said. Requests for rate discounts will be accepted duringthis open season. However, discount requests will only be acceptedfor the non- winter months of April through October.

The new Empire State expansion is still subject to regulatoryapproval. ANR, the owner of the Empire State pipeline and NationalFuel expect the new segment to be in service by Aril 1. Customerscan bid on capacity for delivery to points on both the Tennesseeand National Fuel systems.
