Williams completed its Cherokee expansion project, increasingcapacity on the Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line (Transco) system by87 MMDth/d to provide additional firm transportation capacity toserve markets in Georgia. The $68 million project consisted ofadding looping and compression.

Petal Gas Storage Co., a subsidiary of Crystal Oil Co., extendedan open season for an expansion of its high-deliverability saltcavern storage facility near Hattiesburg, MS. The open season willbe extended until 5 p.m. central time Nov. 16. The expansion wouldadd 3.2 Bcf of working gas capacity and increase withdrawalcapacity to 600 MMcf/d.

Dynegy is moving forward with final permitting and constructionof its 800 MW generating facility in Rockingham County, NC.Construction will begin upon receipt of final environmental permitsand the plant will be in service in June of 2000. Duke Power signedan agreement to purchase 600 MW of capacity from the facilitybeginning July 1, 2000.
