With near-freezing temperatures forecasted in northern Florida for that night, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day (OAD) Wednesday for market-area customers. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 25%. The pipeline said it would not interrupt previously scheduled market-area ITS-1 service for Wednesday's gas day. Customers had been alerted Tuesday to be prepared for the possibility of an OAD (see Daily GPI, Feb. 14).
Based on current forecast and projected demand, Southern Natural Gas will be allocating/limiting interruptible capacity in Group 4-Chattanooga Group, Group 13-East Tennessee Group and Group 59-Tallapoosa Group effective Thursday until further notice. Southern also reported completing sufficient repairs to hurricane-damaged facilities upstream of Toca (LA) Compressor Station that the Main Pass 311-B receipt point has been approved for flow.
Transco announced another delay in repairing a hurricane-damaged section of pipe in Eugene Island Block 135 on its Southeast Louisiana Lateral. Operational issues and weather conditions have delayed progress of the work, which has shut in four meters, Transco said, and it now anticipates completion on Feb. 25. The most recent delay was reported in late January when the pipeline expected to finish on Thursday of this week (see Daily GPI, Jan. 25).
