Citing anticipated colder temperatures, Tennessee said a systemwide OFO Action Alert will take effect until further notice at the start of Monday’s gas day for all Balancing Parties. “These Balancing Party contracts are required to maintain an actual daily flow rate not exceeding 2% or 500 Dth, whichever is greater, of scheduled quantities,” Tennessee said. It will assess penalties of 21.98 cents/Dth for underdeliveries at receipt points or overtakes at delivery points that exceed the tolerance. The pipeline warned that if the OFO Action Alert is not sufficient to maintain operational integrity, it may issue a Critical Day or OFO Balancing Alert.

Based on current and projected conditions, Southern Natural Gas said it expects an OFO Type 6 that took effect Friday to remain in place through at least Tuesday.

Due to forecasted cold weather and heavy demand, East Tennessee Natural Gas issued two Balance Alert OFOs that will take effect Monday until further notice. The OFOs apply to deliveries on the Johnson City Lateral and the Kingsport Lateral. See the bulletin board for details.

Dominion added Steuben Storage and Alliance/Lower Leroy to a list of six New York utility meters that were to be affected by an OFO starting Sunday (see Daily GPI, Feb. 2).

Southern California Gas said it will repair anomalies Feb. 13 at six locations on Line 4000 between Newberry and Main Line Valve 12. This work will cause the loss of 690 MMcf/d of border receipt capacity at North and South Needles and the interconnect with Questar’s Southern Trails, SoCalGas said. Total throughput at those points will be limited to 650 MMcf/d.
