A force majeure was declared Wednesday on the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System (MOPS) after MOPS operator Northern Natural Gas detected a leak upstream of the Matagorda 686 platform. Crews were en route to investigate and make repairs as necessary, NNG said. Thirteen receipt point meters have been allocated to zero until repairs are completed.

Northern Natural Gas also declared force majeure on the Jal-to-Pinnacle portion of its 26-inch diameter Hobbs Line in Lea County, NM after detecting a leak downstream of the Pinnacle Lea delivery point. It isolated the segment containing the leak, and said four delivery points and eight receipt points may be allocated based on nominated volumes within the constrained area.

With its linepack projected to sink below minimum target levels over the next three days, Pacific Gas & Electric issued a customer-specific OFO for Thursday.

The System Protection Warning that MRT implemented Tuesday will be lifted at the start of Thursday’s gas day.
