FERC Chairman Joseph Kelliher on Monday said that the Commission will convene a special Feb. 2 public meeting limited to consideration of items related to the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct).

“We are committed to meeting all of our EPAct implementation obligations on time, and this special meeting will help us assure that outcome,” Kelliher said. The meeting, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., will be held at the Commission’s headquarters located at 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C.

EPAct, signed into law by President Bush last August, placed a number of action items on FERC’s plate (https://www.ferc.gov/legal/maj-ord-reg/fed-sta/ene-pol-act.asp).

Most recently, FERC in late December issued a report to Congress on the federal agency’s continuing 2000-2001 energy crisis refund proceedings (see Daily GPI, Dec. 29, 2005).
