Citing cold weather forecasts, MRT said a System Protection Warning would go into effect at the start of Sunday’s gas day. The following conditions will apply during the SPW: MRT will not schedule any mainline IT or AOR volumes for delivery north of Glendale, AR; firm volumes will be limited to their primary direction of flow; MRT is not accepting short imbalance positions in the market zone; and shippers may not nominate supply from existing long imbalance positions in the market zone. The pipeline said it currently has capacity available on the East Line, so in order to avoid OFOs, shippers who were relying on mainline IT, AOR and/or imbalance volumes were encouraged to resource supply to the East Line or reduce applicable delivery volumes.

Based on its scheduled supply, projected demand and current system conditions, Southern Natural Gas canceled early Friday afternoon the OFO Type 6 for short imbalances that had been implemented the day before.

Northwest did not anticipate any impact to shippers’ nomination requests from a 46,000 Dth/d reduction in capacity after the #2 unit at its Goldendale Compressor Station experienced a mechanical failure Thursday, saying scheduled quantities at the time were less than the station’s remaining available capacity of about 501,000 Dth/d. It expected to need at least five days to return the compressor to service.

Columbia Gulf said that as of Saturday it would begin accepting up to 100,000 Dth/d in receipt nominations from Sea Robin-Erath in South Louisiana.

Due to an increase in area receipts causing flows to periodically exceed its capacity, NOVA said it was removing all IT services at four stations on the Bashaw Lateral in Segment 17 (ALEG) Friday until further notice. This segment is restricted to firm transportation, NOVA said, and customers will not be able to sign up for new FT-R service or transfer existing FT-R contracts onto the Bashaw Lateral. However, downstream transfers on the lateral may be possible pending evaluation, it said.
