ANR Pipeline is holding an open season to test market interest in a Wisconsin/Illinois 2007 Expansion Project, which could include expansion of its mainline and laterals in the states of Wisconsin and Illinois.

The project will offer firm transportation service to multiple delivery points, including those along ANR’s existing mainline and laterals north of its Sandwich Compressor Station in La Salle County, IL; those south of the Crystal Falls interconnection with Great Lakes Gas Transmission in Iron County, MI; points east of ANR’s Marshfield interconnection with Viking Gas Transmission Company in Wood County, WI; and delivery points east of ANR’s interconnection with Northern Natural in Rock County, WI. The project would provide new capacity from valid receipt points within ANR’s Joliet Hub or from ANR’s storage fields in Michigan. Service is expected on Nov. 1, 2007.

ANR said it is taking requests for turnback capacity along this portion of its pipeline system. It also has requested that shippers requesting service provide information demonstrating that construction of new facilities won’t lead to excess pipeline capacity on the ANR Pipeline system.

ANR said it plans to discuss and mutually agree upon rates as part of the precedent agreement negotiations with potential shippers. It said any agreed to rate would be made available to any other similarly situated open season participant. Shippers also will have the option of a FERC-approved recourse rate that will be determined based upon the final scope and cost of the project, the company said. The open season will close on July 21.
