Florida Gas Transmission ended Saturday an Overage Alert Day notice that had been in effect since last Tuesday. However, it cautioned Monday that a new OAD might become necessary because of forecasts of near-freezing weather in northern Florida.

Saying a cold front expected in its market area had missed the Pacific Northwest and passed to the east, Northwest canceled Monday the Stage III entitlement that had been scheduled to take effect that day (see Daily GPI, Jan. 26).

Dominion reported that the Hastings Extraction Plant in West Virginia had shut down Sunday due to an electrical problem. The cause and duration of the outage were not known as of Monday, but it was responsible for curtailments on Dominion’s “wet system.” See the bulletin board for details.

Sonat will begin allocating/limiting interruptible capacity in the Chattanooga Group, East Tennessee Group and Tallapoosa Group Tuesday until further notice.

Algonquin reported Monday morning that repairs of a unit at the Burrillville (RI) Compressor Station had been completed and the unit was back in service.

ANR lifted all restrictions Sunday for the Madison Lateral area in Wisconsin.

Fidlar Station will be unavailable Feb. 3 in order to complete required maintenance and upgrades, Questar said. Without compression available, ML 103 and ML 68 volumes attempting to flow through Fidlar will be limited to 70,000 dekatherms that day, potentially affecting 15 receipt points. Based on current nominations, this represents approximately a 40,000-dekatherm reduction in flexed nominations, the pipeline said.
