Larcamp to Head New FERC Markets Office

Daniel L. Larcamp was appointed director of the Office of Markets, Tariffs and Rates at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The office and position were created as part of internal restructuring at the Commission under the FERC First program.

Larcamp has served as senior counsel and policy advisor to FERC Chairman James. J. Hoecker on electric power issues since August 1998. The new office will deal with matters involving markets, tariffs and rates in electric, natural gas, and oil facilities. It will play a lead role in monitoring, promoting and maintaining competitive markets and refining compliance auditing as it integrates the Commission's economic regulation of the gas and electric industries.

This is the fifth new office to be opened under FERC First. In February, the Commission announced the opening of the Office of Administrative Litigation and the Dispute Resolution Service. In July, the Commission opened the Office of Strategy and Organizational Management, and the Office of Finance, Accounting and Operations.
