NOVA said a leak discovered in a flange assembly early Thursday
on its North Lateral in eastern Alberta is curtailing up to 500
MMcf/d of upstream production. The line usually flows 1.6-1.7
Bcf/d, a spokesman said. He estimated the leak will require 24-48
hours of repair time, but no schedule has been set.
As previously posted, the Amoco processing plant for gas moving
through Destin Pipeline has had its liquid handling capacity
reduced to 50% (see Daily GPI, May 5). Thursday Amoco notified
Destin that additional problems with the plant's liquid handling
facilities had further cut capacity to nearly zero. Although the
capacity was a bit higher Friday, Destin informed all production
points that free liquid injection into the pipeline must be
minimized to maintain current flows. At present there is no need to
reduce scheduled volumes, Destin said.
El Paso revised a notice about its Blanco Plant maintenance
starting today (see Daily GPI, May 14) to say the outage of the C

Florida Gas Transmission has extended maintenance at Sabine Pass

When it took the Donna Line in South Texas out of service May 1
to make the line "piggable," Tennessee expected the line to resume
operations June 9 (see Daily GPI, May 3). But due to Texas Dept. of
Transportation work on two roads across Donna during June,
Tennessee will be required to modify the existing road crossings,
the pipeline said Friday. That work will extend the Donna Line
outage, affecting 20 meters, to June 15.
A combination of its Unit 5-C failure and maintenance on the
A-Line has rendered PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest unable to
maintain contract pressure to Northwest Pipeline at Spokane, WA. In
order to meet confirmed nominations, PG&E GT-NW curtailed the
Spokane delivery point effective Friday to 45 MMcf/d until the
A-Line has returned to service.
