The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) has allowed Rover Pipeline LLC to resume construction in Doddridge and Tyler counties following a July cease and desist order. WVDEP cited Rover for noncompliance with its state-issued water pollution control permit. In an order filed to the project docket at FERC, WVDEP said it determined following an inspection on Wednesday the previously cited violations “had been corrected” [CP15-93].

FERCon Monday issued a favorable Environmental Assessment (EA) for a new horizontal natural gas withdrawal at Columbia Gas Transmission LLC’s Pavonia storage field in Ashland and Richland counties, OH. The new well would help maintain late-season performance at the Pavonia field, restoring about 10 MMcf/d of delivery. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission staff concluded that construction of the project, occurring on a 3.6 acre area and involving a couple hundred feet of new pipe, would not “significantly [affect] the quality of the human environment.”
