The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in June plans to offer more than 398,000 acres is eight separate state oil and natural gas lease sales, according to its online leasing service.

According to EnergyNet, the auctions would be held June 8-June 22 in Arkansas, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

BLM’s New Mexico State Office has 18 parcels for lease, nine in Texas and and nine in Oklahoma that 4,377 acres.

In Texas, the 3,171 acres offered are in Live Oak, McMullen, Washington and Burleson counties. The Oklahoma leases cover 1,205 acres available in Major County and in western counties near the Texas border. Bidding for both the Texas and Oklahoma land opens June 8.

In Colorado, 85 parcels for lease cover 73,247 acres in Jackson, Moffat, Rio Blanco and Routt counties. Bidding begins June 8.

The BLM Wyoming office is offering 26 parcels over 31,975 acres in Carbon, Laramie, Sublette, Sweetwater and Uinta counties, with bidding also starting June 22.

A Montana auction has 156 parcels offered across 69,056 acres in Big Horn, Carter, Custer, Fallon, Garfield, Powder River and Rosebud counties. Bidding is open June 12-13.

The largest lease offering is in Nevada, where BLM is offering 106 parcels covering 195,653 acres in Eureka, Lander and Nye counties. Bidding is to be held June 13-14.

Meanwhile, the Utah office has 20 parcels for lease with bidding beginning June 13 that cover 23,733 acres in portions of Garfield, Piute, Sanpete and Sevier counties. And in Arkansas two parcels covering 160 acres in Cleburne and Van Buren counties will be offered for lease, with bidding on June 22.
