Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will deliver a keynote address on Thursday (March 9) at CERAWeek 2017 in Houston during a special plenary dialogue with IHS Markit Vice Chairman Daniel Yergin. Trudeau also is receiving the CERAWeek Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award in recognition of his commitment to sustainability in energy and the environment. “In addition to being each other’s largest trade partners, Canada and the United States are the world’s largest integrated energy market — with Canada playing a critical role in strengthening North American energy security,” Yergin said. Nearly 3,000 delegates from more than 60 countries are expected to attend the week-long conference, which kicks off Monday, including energy ministers from more than 12 countries and CEOs from 20-plus oil and natural gas companies.
