An article in the Oct. 10 edition of NGI’s Shale Daily, “Southwestern’s Fayetteville Assets Still Struggling to Compete with Appalachia,” incorrectly stated that Southwestern Energy Co. was West Virginia’s largest liquids producer and its third largest gas producer in 2015. According to an analysis of state production data by the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey (WVGES), Southwestern was the state’s largest Marcellus liquids producer, reporting 2.5 million bbl of oil and natural gas liquids last year. It was the state’s third largest Marcellus gas producer, reporting 111.3 Bcf, according to WVGES.
