Darrell E. Hollek has been named Anadarko Petroleum Corp.‘s executive vice president (EVP) of U.S. Onshore Exploration and Production. Chuck Meloy, currently the U.S. onshore chief, would remain an EVP until his retirement in June. Hollek, who has 35 years of experience, began his career with Anadarko in 1980 and most recently served as senior vice president, Deepwater Americas Operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. Anadarko also appointed Christopher O. Champion, 45, as vice president, chief accounting officer and controller, effective June 1 to succeed M. Cathy Douglas, who is retiring following more than 35 years with the company. Champion is currently a senior audit partner at KPMG LLP, where he serves as national audit leader for oil and natural gas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
