A chart that originally accompanied the April 16 article “EPA Report Shows Some Progress on Reducing Methane Emissions“ (see Shale Daily, April 16) incorrectly showed that methane emissions from field production in 2012 totaled 79.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (mmtCO2). The correct figure is 49.7 mmtCO2. A corrected version of the chart has since been put in place. NGI regrets the error.
