A 36-year veteran of state service, Jeffrey Goltz is leaving the state of the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC), to be replaced by Ann Rendahl, whom Goltz hired nearly 25 years ago in the state Attorney General’s Office (AGO). Gov. Jay Inslee appointed Rendahl on Tuesday to the UTC. Goltz, who was appointed to the state regulatory commission in 2009, notified Inslee’s office in August that he would not seek another term. Prior to joining the commission, Goltz practiced law for 34 years, 30 of which were at the Washington AGO. In 1990 he hired Rendahl as an attorney in the state office.
