Texas Eastern Transmission LP on Friday received FERC clearance to place into service the last remaining facility of its Texas Eastern Appalachia to Market (Team) 2014 Project.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the in-service of the Delmont Compressor Station in Westmoreland County, PA [CP13-84]. Texas Eastern has said on its website that it plans a November in-service for the project.

Team 2014 expands the Texas Eastern system to accommodate increased gas production from the Appalachian region for delivery to markets in the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and Gulf Coast. It increases the Spectra Energy pipeline’s capacity by 600 MMcf/d. It will deliver gas from receipt points on the Texas Eastern system in the Marcellus Shale region in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia to delivery points in its traditional market areas in New Jersey and New York, as well as to expanding markets in Ohio, Mississippi and Louisiana.

The project is designed to provide 300 MMcf/d of incremental transportation service from western Pennsylvania to the eastern end of the system in Lambertville, NJ, and Staten Island, NY, 50,000 Dth/d of incremental service from western Pennsylvania to the Lebanon, OH, hub and 250,000 Dth/d of incremental service from western Pennsylvania to markets in Texas Eastern’s Zones ELA and WLA in the Access Area.

Team 2014 includes 33.6 miles of various segments of new 36-inch diameter pipeline loop and related aboveground facilities in Fayette, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon and Berks counties in Pennsylvania; installation of four new compressor units and associated facilities at the Delmont, Armagh and Entriken compressor stations in Pennsylvania; abandonment in place of seven compressor units at Delmont; uprate of three compressor units at the Uniontown compressor station; and modifications and maintenance work at 41 facility locations along Texas Eastern’s system in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi to allow for bi-directional flow (see Daily GPI, Feb. 12).
